VOCI's Scalable Leadership Structure

VOCI's leadership is poised to evolve through distinct phases, from a centralized university-based foundation to a decentralized global movement.

Phase 1: Foundation (2025)

Established at Murang’a University of Technology (MUT).

  • Centralized Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
  • Departmental Heads (8 leaders total)
  • Focus: Launch operations, build momentum

Phase 2: Regional Expansion (2026–2027)

Scale across Kenya (Nairobi first, then 2-3 regions annually).

  • Central Leadership Team (CLT) at MUT
  • Regional Leadership Teams (RLTs) per region
  • Target: 5 regions by 2027 (13-29 leaders)

Phase 3: African Network (2028–2029)

Expand to 3-5 African countries, establishing a continental network.

  • Continental Leadership Council (CLC)
  • National Leadership Teams (NLTs) per country
  • Target: 5 countries by 2029 (26-34 leaders)

Phase 4: Global Movement (2030–2032)

Establish VOCI as a global entity, reaching 10+ countries across 3+ continents.

Procedures and Governance

Elections & Appointments

Annual elections held October 1 (3/4 vote) with terms shifting from 2 to 3 years for stability. Departmental roles appointed by higher tiers annually on November 1.

Training & Development

4-hour training sessions post-election/appointment, recorded and scaled to regional, national, and global contexts. Focus on VOCI’s pillars.

Reporting & Accountability

Monthly reports within tiers, quarterly reports across tiers, and annual global reports to track progress and impact, ensuring transparency.

Contingencies & Succession

Leadership gaps filled by interims within 7–90 days (tier-dependent). Succession plans established to ensure continuity and resilience.

Implementation Roadmap

2025: Establish MUT structure, launch VOCI, conduct initial training.
2026: Appoint Regional Coordinator, launch Nairobi branch, plan additional regions.
2027: Expand to 5 regions, prepare Continental Leadership Council (CLC).
2028: Launch 3 African countries, appoint Advisory Board.
2029-2032: Scale to 5 African countries, then 3 continents, transitioning to Global Leadership Assembly (GLA).
